Hiragishi Tenjin is a renowned folk performing arts group based in the Hiragishi district of Sapporo, Japan. Established in 1993, the group was formed by members of the "Hiragishi Tenjin Taiko" drumming ensemble who, after assisting with the inaugural YOSAKOI Soran Festival, came together with local volunteers to create a dance team. Their debut performance as "Hiragishi Tenjin" at the 2nd YOSAKOI Soran Festival marked the beginning of their journey.

Their captivating performances are rooted in the "4S" principles:
Speed, Sharpness, Strength, Smile.
Their performances seamlessly blend traditional Japanese folk music with vibrant dance, creating a captivating spectacle that resonates with audiences worldwide.

Hiragishi Tenjin has been a dominant force in the YOSAKOI Soran Festival, having won the Grand Prize more than 10 times, making them the most awarded team in the festival's history. Their performances have garnered acclaim not only in Japan but also internationally. They have showcased their performance in 13 cities across the United States, Russia, Mexico, China, Taiwan, Thailand, and South Korea.
